Easy Colostrum Chocolate Truffles

These decadent truffles are easy to make and can be customized in endless ways.

Add your favorite powdered superfoods or complimentary herbs, roll in your favorite toppings of choice, or just eat them plain. They are so rich and delicious that if you bring these to a party no one will even know how loaded with healthy goodness they are. Who could argue ~ chocolate, butter AND colostrum?! This recipe is versatile and would make for a great mash-up, or could be thinned to make a rich frosting for other desserts....or eaten straight outta the bowl ;)  Have fun with it! There's really no way to mess this up!

The ingredient values listed are estimates, but you should aim to get these to a texture that is conducive to rolling them into balls with ease. The trick is to start with the lower side of the suggested ingredient amount and then add in more as needed. Refrigerate or freeze for 15-20 minutes to let them set up to desired firmness.

INGREDIENTS:

1/4 Lb Grass Fed Butter
1/2- 2/3 Cup Colostrum
2 Heaping TBSP Cacao (add more Cacao for darker richer truffles)
1/4 -1/2 Cup Maple Syrup (to taste or to reach desired consistency)
Pinch of salt if using unsalted butter
Optional 1/2 TBSP Vanilla Extract or another extract of choice

Potential add-in ingredients: Maca, Pine Pollen, Lucuma, Mucuna, Finely ground coffee beans. Be creative!

Suggested toppings: Cacao nibs, coconut flakes, a dusting of cacao powder, schizandra, crushed nuts or bee pollen. The possibilities are endless!

    • My 3 year old loves this recipe. I just made it again except I added honey instead of maple syrup and I added 4 drops of the Surthrival D3+K2 Daylight Concentrate. Tastes like a thin mint!
