Tonic Herbs: The True SuperFoods of Ancient and Modern Times

Before we get into some of the many traditional and modern uses of Deer Antler Velvet let’s discuss “Tonic Herbs”, what they are and what their use is.

Less than 100 herbs in the entire Chinese Pharmacopoeia are considered to be tonic herbs. Tonic herbs are the true super-foods of ancient and modern times. Their ability to provide unique alchemical nutrients to the body is unprecedented. Their extraordinary ability to balance, protect and vitalize are what inspired the ancient Taoists to entertain the concepts of physical immortality.

With an abundant bounty of broad spectrum nutrients including vitamins, minerals, amino acids and many other rare phyto-chemicals, tonic herbs are especially revered for their bionutrients. These nutrients have properties that exhibit anti-aging, cholesterol lowering and memory enhancing benefits. In addition to this a host of anti-oxidants are present as well as potent excipients that act as carriers bringing about a better utilization of nutrients in the body.

The best tonic herbs provide a massive range of physiological benefits, but they must be used with proper knowledge to yield the best results. Because TCM believes that health conditions can manifest in a multitude of symptoms and the goal of treatment is from a whole body perspective rather than curing a specific symptom, it is noteworthy to mention that many of the tonic herbs prescribed to treat specific health concerns, will also address other unseen problems due to their adaptogenic properties.

Deer velvet is known as a Shen tonic, which strengthens mental and cognitive functions. It is also considered a blood, liver and kidney tonic.

The kidneys are associated with vigor and vitality and regarded in eastern medicine as being “the root of life”. They control all skeletal elements and anything related to physical structure. Because of its powerful regeneration abilities Antler Velvet is used for problems associated with bones, joints and cartilage. Due to the kidneys function of controlling reproductive organs, deer antler velvet is known to be a powerful sexual tonic. In fact, it is also one of the most powerful aphrodisiacs we and many others have ever experienced!

The reason that deer antler velvet is used for the re-growth and regeneration of bones, cartilage, muscle and tissue is due largely to complex chemical agents called ectosaponins. These chemicals actually cause tissue regeneration. This phenomenon occurs frequently in nature. It is how starfish grow back lost limbs, how lizards acquire new tails and how cervid animals such as deer and moose grow a massive rack of antlers and drop them in the woods every single year! Because of these properties, Deer Antler velvet is used for the re-growth of nerve tissue which does not notably regenerate on its own. It is an herb of strength, life force and potential immortality! Deer antler velvet can be taken internally or applied topically to weaker areas where more Chi is required. When taken orally it is best to put the required dosage into your mouth and mix it with saliva, then put under your tongue for 90 seconds. After that you will want to swish it around your cheeks for 30 seconds before swallowing it. This is called a Buccal Mucosa Delivery System. It is a 3 part system of orally ingesting Deer Antler Velvet that maximizes the healing potential that this miraculous herb offers. By allowing the tonic to absorb through your mouth before entering your stomach, you ensure sufficient absorption of the ectosaponins, growth factors(IGF-1 and IGF-2), amino acids, polypeptides, interleukins and the wide array of vitamins and minerals present in Deer Antler Velvet.

Next week we will talk about the sexual benefits and allure of working with Deer Antler Velvet plus we will begin our blog about Colostrum and how it is 3 times more effective against swine flu than vaccines!

Please, comment on the origin of the medicinal mushrooms.

Also, will there be a bulk discount on the deer extract

The medicinal mushrooms we currently carry are obtained in several ways. The Chaga is wild harvested as this is the only way to do it! The Reishi are log/stump grown! We may offer an autoship at some point on the deer antler and we do also offer wholesale accounts if you are interested in purchasing bulk!

I would be interested in learning about setting up a wholesale account for Colostrum and Deer Antler Velvet.

Thanks!

So, do you suggest taking Deer Velvet with Colostrum, like during the same time, maybe not AT the same time but together in your diet? Also you say Deer Velvet is considered an Herb and more specifically a Medicinal Herb. .why? and then what exactly is the definition of a Medicinal ‘Herb’? Thanks
