A Necessary Beauty Secret

Posted by: admin    Tags:  aging, anti-aging, beauty, beauty care, care, clear skin, collagen, elastin, firm skin, health, healthy skin, longevity, regeneration, skin, strength, surthrival, wellness, wrinkles    Posted date:  February 25, 2011  |  34 Comments

We are living in an age of society where it is increasingly becoming the norm to use cosmetic surgery to alter the way our skin appears.  As people age, more and more of the population is relying on cosmetic alterations to hide the inevitable decline of their skins integrity. Well, what if people could use preventative measures to maintain their beautiful, young looking skin?   What if instead of paying hundreds of thousands or dollars to have surgery performed on them, they could take small doses of a natural supplement that contains the very substances that build skin?   What if this preventative measure provided more successful maintenance of healthy skin than the cosmetic surgery could ever hope to?   We are in luck, because we do have access to this natural anti-aging beauty tonic which can help to prolong the time we spend in our youthful skin.

Some of you may already be familiar with the connective tissue component of skin called collagen.  However, are you aware of just how vital collagen is to the integrity and longevity your skin?  The collagen proteins are the beauty secret I am referring to.  Collagen is the most abundant protein in mammals and makes up about 25-30% of the whole body protein content.  Our epidermis is our outer layer of skin, while collagen forms large bundles that weave together in a continuous layer under our epidermis.  Collagen is not just in the skin, but is found all throughout our tissues, strengthening our tissue matrix as a whole structure.  It is also found in our glands, organs, tendons, and ligaments.  I suppose you could say that collagen basically helps hold our bodies together.  It is the foundation for what allows us to maintain (or fail to maintain) firm and beautiful skin and tissues.

Collagen is a family of extra-cellular proteins that give the skin its ability to move, stretch and rebound its shape.  With this information you can imagine how healthy collagen assists in resisting the aging process and maintaining tight and firm skin.  Collagen helps us to avoid the development of wrinkles and fine-lines, as well as prevent the decline of our musculature and vital organs.

There is one member in the collagen protein family that is the driving force for aging well and looking young.  That protein is elastin.  Our skin, arteries, lungs and ligaments contain the most elastin found in our bodies.  It has been said that elastin represents, more than any other substance, the molecular Fountain of Youth.

Elastin is made to last.  It is produced naturally by your body during puberty and during other periods of rapid growth.  Hormones and growth factors facilitate the manufacturing of elastin which is why it is produced during potent hormonal growing phases.

If our bodies only have the ability to naturally produce elastin while experiencing significant hormonal changes and growth during adolescence, how can we rebuild, regenerate, and strengthen our elastin now that we are beyond our adolescent years?  The answer is to consume foods and supplements that contain elastin.  SurThrival has one of the few supplements in todays marketplace that actually contains these collagen proteins, including elastin.

Now, you are probably wondering what natural supplement can supply the elastin that cansupport the integrity of our skin.  What is the source of this natural elastin that supports beautiful skin and resistance to the aging process?

It is our Elk Antler Velvet extraction, which contains elastin and five other collagen proteins.  One of the active extracellular matrix components of Elk Antler Velvet is the collagen proteins, which include specifically, concentrations of elastin.

Collagen aids in the development of the Elk’s antler, where it acts as a structural molecule.  At SurThrival, we humanely harvest the “living tips” of these velvet stage antlers, for the production of our Immortal Velvet.

Many of you may already be familiar with the fact that Elk Antler Velvet contains a wide array of growth factors, including the well-known and researched, IGF-1.  IGF-1 and IGF-2 have been known to increase lean body mass, reduce fat deposition, build bone, muscle, and nerves, all the while assisting in glucose metabolism.  It has also been known to stimulate hormone production.  Thus, IGF growth factors could facilitate the breeding grounds for the development of elastin.  This means the consumption of our Immortal Velvet Elk Antler has the potential to stimulate the healthy production of elastin when it is a part of our everyday diet.

This means, supplementing your diet with Immortal Velvet Elk Antler may assist in the maintenance of beautiful skin, strong organs, healthy flexibility; all while approaching and moving through the aging process gracefully and easily!

If I’m consuming your colastrum, do I need this product?

Reply

    Hello Kalyani!

We appreciate your interest in our Immortal Velvet products!

Our Colostrum and Elk Antler Velvet products have some similarities, in that they both contain growth factors, from the IGF family. Both products promote regeneration, rejuvenation, and healing – Though the Colostrum contains IgG factors, or Immunoglobulins, which have been known to support healthy digestive function. The Immortal Velvet contains growth hormones which are precursors to the production of the sex hormones, testosterone and progesterone, in men and women. Therefore, our Elk Antler Velvet products have been known to be supportive to the balancing of the endocrine system.

Please e-mail me directly at surthrivalcare@gmail.com if you are interested in a couple of highly informational documents about our Colostrum and Elk Antler Velvet extract, as I feel they would provide you with clearer insight into the difference between them and why a person may choose to use them both, as they cater to similar and different things.

    I hope this is helpful!

    Sincerely,

    The SurThrival Team

Is IGF-1 illegal?

Reply

    Hello Rob!

We appreciate your interest in our Immortal Velvet products!

Natural IGF-1 is not illegal. The IGF-1 growth factors in the Antler Velvet are naturally occurring and are safe for human consumption.

There are synthetic forms of IGF-1 on the market as well, which to my understanding, are legal too – As a research chemical. However, we do not support or advocate the use of this substance in its synthetic form – This is why we distribute an all-natural product which contains natural IGF-1. Antler Velvet extracts have been used for hundreds of years in Traditional Chinese Medicine for its beneficial growth factors.

I hope this information is helpful to you and we look forward to doing business with you!

    Sincerely,

    The SurThrival Team

I’m very interested in your Elk Antler Velvet products, however I’m not sure which one to choose…..the gold or silver. I obviously see that the MCG’s are different but is one better for a female ?Which one would you recommend?

Reply

    Hello Jennifer!

We appreciate your interest in our Immortal Velvet products!

The difference between the Silver as opposed to the Gold is that they are two products have different concentrations. The difference is that our Immortal Velvet Gold contains 1000 MG’s of our 43:1 extract of Elk Antler Velvet and our Immortal Velvet Silver contains 450 MG’s of our 43:1 Elk Antler Velvet extract.  This 43:1 extract I am referring to means that we concentrate the Elk Antler Velvet 43 times per pound of alcohol that it is extracted in.  1 gram of that 43:1 extract goes into the 1 oz. bottle of Immortal Velvet Gold and nearly .45 grams goes into each 1 oz. bottle of Immortal Velvet Silver.

Therefore, the Immortal Velvet Gold has a more potent concentration than the Silver. We are unable to provide recommendations to people, but peoples choices between one or the other usually depends on what kind of price point they are comfortable with or how long they want the bottle to last.

I hope this information is helpful to you!

    Sincerely,

    The SurThrival Team

Wonderful site & products, of which I am about to order. However, I need some clarification: What would be the recommended regimen of Velvet Antler for women? Particularly for those attempting to correct estrogen-dominant syndromes (PCOS, fibroids, breast fibroadenomas, etc)? Wouldn’t want to increase estrogen/testosterone in these cases.
Also, how would we incorporate Antler w/colostrum and the pine pollen for a more holistic program?
Any research/documentation would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

    Hello DrR!

    Thanks for your inquiry.

Because we are not trained medical professionals, we are unfortunately legally unable to provide direct health advice to our clients. However, I can tell you that many of our female clients have used our Elk Antler Velvet extract with great success to correct estrogen dominance in their bodies. One of our employees was experiencing severe PMS symptoms, i.e. menstrual cramps, etc. and began taking our Immortal Velvet Gold product on a daily basis and after just a month of doing so, her symptoms were corrected. Antler Velvet extracts are considered to be an adaptogen, per the ancient Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioners, so Antler Velvet extracts have been known to right whichever kind of hormone imbalance a person might be experiencing, whether it is a testosterone or estrogen imbalance, while also helping to increase the other beneficial sex hormone, progesterone (in women), if necessary.

Our clients seem to find our Antler Velvet extract and Colostrum to be an extremely synergistic combination when used together. Both products contain the IGF-1 growth factors and together have been known to support well-rounded healing, regeneration, rejuvenation, and strengthening.

Pine Pollen Powder has been used for thousands of years in Traditional Chinese Medicine as well, particularly with women as a skin beautifying tonic. Pine Pollen Powder and Colostrum can be blended into morning smoothies or herbal drinks to make for a creamy morning beverage.

Please let me know if we may further assist you in any way! If you are still interested in research/documentation, please contact me at surthrivalcare@gmail.com requesting these documents and I would be happy to send them to you!

Is the Organic Grape Alcohol in Inmortal Velvet Elk Antler and the organic grain alcohol in your new products: Inmortality Quest Chaga and Reishi some how not good for your health?
Thanks

Reply

    Hello Kalyani!

The alcohol that we use in our extracts is always organic so we are sure that it is pure and uncontaminated. It is a personal choice on our businesses behalf to use alcohol as the extraction medium for our tinctures. We feel that alcohol happens to be an excellent delivery system for the medicines we are extracting and we personally do not feel that organic alcohol is detrimental to the average persons health. Of course, we do not recommend that someone who has alcohol sensitivities or who has dealt with alcohol abuse use extractions done in alcohol.

I hope this information is helpful to you! Please let me know if I may further assist you in any way.

Help ! ! ! I listened to the interview between Danial Vitalis, and Dr. Anthony Kleinsmith. Dr. Kleinsmith stated that the IGF-1 in Surthrival’s Colostrum arrives intact, undenatured, and unharmed into the bloodstream. However, the Colostrum’s label says to take it on an empty stomach, with water or juice — implying that there could be a problem if you just take with regular food. ( like i’m currently doing ) I don’t want to loose even one nanogram of IGF-1 from this stuff — i need all the rejuvination i can get. ) = I plan on buying Colosrum from you for the rest of eternity… Please clarify this difficult subject for me. Thanks so much.

    Hello “Free-Radical Damage Guy”!

Thanks for your inquiry. It is simply a recommendation to consume our Colostrum product on an empty stomach, though not required. You may not want to consume it after eating a huge meal, but it is fine to consume it in a smoothie, or in conjunction with other light foods. Consuming it with other foods does not typically inhibit any of the benefits, in our experience!

I hope this helps to answer your question :) Please let me know if we may further assist you in any way! We look forward to working with you!

Dear Surthrival,

My hormone levels are very low for several years and therefor I feel very bad and degenerate very fast, my skin in particular.
No doc could help me, although they advice IgG injections.
But I can’t finance this expensive therapy.
So I consider to take Colostrum and Immortal Velvet.
I’m not sure if i have a leaky gut.
So, how long do I have to take those supplements at least, to be sure that it increases the hormones?
(in the absence of tangible and visible results)

What about shipping-costs?
Or Dutch distributor?

Looking forward to your reaction.

Sincerely,
Janet from the Netherlands

    Hello Janet!

We appreciate your interest in our products! We do have a distributor in the EU – You should be able to order from their website, http://www.mastercare.nl

We also have a distributor in the UK – You can find them at http://www.aggressivehealth.co.uk

As for the length of time before you begin to feel effects from the products, it will vary significantly among each consumer, as no two people are the same.  Many of our customers claim to feel the effects immediately after consumption, noticing the medicine going to work on their bodies right away.  Others have noted that after a couple of weeks that they begin to witness changes in their bodies, in whatever way that may be.  There is no real way to tell exactly how long it will take.  I wish I could give you a clearer answer but it really varies per individual.

I hope this helps to answer your questions. Please let us know if we may further assist you in any way!

Is this latest version of Immortal Velvet also cold processed? Can it be considered raw?
Also, why the BIIIIG jump in price? How long would a bottle of the platinum last, and how much more potent is one bottle of platinum vs the same volume of gold?

Reply

    Hello JC,

Yes, the new Immortal Velvet Platinum is cold processed and does not receive heat in any of its processing.

The price of the Platinum extract is reflective of several things. For one, it is our strongest Elk Antler Velvet extract yet. At 1500 MG’s of our “Living Tips” Elk Antler Velvet extract per bottle, it is now 50% more concentrated. Our Platinum formula is made with Tribulus, so our strongest Antler Velvet formula is combined with a potent Tribulus extraction, to result in a formula which supports the healthy production of Superoxide Dismutase and Glutathione within the body. These are the body’s master antioxidants and are critical for genetic repair and system wide detoxification. The Platinum is 50% stronger than the Gold.

This product is intended for clients who are connoisseurs of our Antler Velvet product and want to take their use of it a step further, or for those who feel this synergistic combination will be supportive to just what their health might need.

Going by the recommended dosage of 2/3 of a droppers full per day. Going by this dosage, one bottle would last around a month. However, because this is such a super potent concentrated formula, an individual might choose to decrease their dosage to 1/4 – 1/2 of a droppers full per day, and still be getting a lot out of it.

    Sincerely,

    The Surthrival Team

What is the variety, source, and nature of the tribulus?

Is it from dried,, fresh or wild-crafted?

Can the Elk Velvet products be taken with the pine pollen?

Thanks

Reply

    Hello JC!

The Tribulus variety used in our new Immortal Velvet Platinum formula is ild foraged Bulgarian Tribulus. It is freeze dried and ground to a fine powder. It is standardized to 80% saponins and 40% protodioscin.

To our understanding, there are no known contraindications in using any or all of our products in conjunction with one another. Many of our customers enjoy using our Immortal Velvet products in conjunction with the Pine Pollen products and find them to be a very synergistic combination.

We have not heard any reports of there being concern around Tribulus raising testosterone levels too much, including DHT levels. Our understanding is that Tribulus is adaptogenic and does not have the ability to raise testosterone levels so much that it could threaten endocrine health.

I hope that helps to answer your questions!

    Sincerely,

    The SurThrival Team

Hi hope your all are in good health. I was wanting to ask if your Elk Antler is suitable for nursing mothers and children? And can the alcohol be removed by adding hot water to the tincture?
Thankyou

Reply

    Hello Shabeena!

Because we are not trained medical professionals, we are unfortunately legally unable to offer our clients direct health advice. However, I can tell you that many pregnant women I know took our Elk Antler Velvet extract before they got pregnant, through their first and second trimesters and then again after they gave birth to support their healing/recovery process after birth. I once heard somewhere from a Chinese Medicine herbalist that it is best not to take it during a pregnant woman’s third trimester. I do not have any information to confirm or deny this, so I would say its best not to take it during the third trimester, just in case.

We do not recommend trying to remove the alcohol from the tincture, as the alcohol is the delivery system for the Antler Velvet. It is the alcohol that extracts the nutrients from the Antler Velvet and it is the alcohol that carries the nutrients into our system.

I hope that helps to answer your questions!

    Sincerely,

    The SurThrival Team

Hi,

Still wondering about the tribulus in the Platinum EVA product:
- Is it from fresh or dried?
- Is it organic and/or wild crafted?
- Where does it come from?

Further, are you aware of any concerns about tribulus in terms of it raising “bad” testosterone, namely DHT?

Thanks!

    Hello Sw!

Because we are not health “professionals”, we are legally unable to provide our clients with advice regarding their health challenges. We are also not equipped to be doing so – However, I can tell you that we do have customers who have used our Immortal Velvet products as endocrine support post hysterectomy. This is definitely something I would encourage you to consult doing with your current health practitioner since you are using HRT.

I apologize that I can not give you a more direct answer, though I trust you will understand our legal position here! If you do choose to use the Immortal Velvet, please let us know how it goes! We would love to hear your feedback and experience.

Is Elk Velvelt beneficial for someone who has thyroid disease?

Reply

    Hello Kathy!

Antler Velvet extracts have been known to support a healthy functioning metabolism and we do know of customers of ours who have used our Antler Velvet extract to support their healthy thyroid function as well. Because we are not trained medical “professionals”, the FDA legally does not allow us to offer direct health advice to our customers (it can be such a drag!!!) so while I am unable to answer your question more directly, I will e-mail over an educational document regarding our Antler Velvet extract which might help to answer your question a bit more thoroughly.

We look forward to working with you!
